April 20th 2013 is the date for ISAN 6! Join
us in taking astronomy to the streets and showing the world the night sky. This year, ISAN will once again be part of AWB's
Global Astronomy Month, so there is even more reason to grab your scopes and go.

5th ISAN
The 5th ISAN was just as successful as the previous 4! Because of the large number of spring events,
we have decided to move ISAN to the fall. Not only will we not have to compete with so many events, but it will be closer
to John Dobson's birthday, which is appropriate since the whole idea behind ISAN is to celebrate John and the wonderful activity
he help start.
4th ISAN
The 4th ISAN was fantastic! Great reports and photos from around the world has made everyone so excited that we are already
working on the next event!

3rd ISAN
The 3rd ISAN was held in conjunction with the IYA 100 Hours of Astronomy Cornerstone Project and was part of the largest
astronomy outreach project ever. Becasue most of our members took part and expanded thier events to cover the entire 100 hours
period, all results are posted on the 100HA website.
A HUGE thanks to everyone for making this so successful!

2nd ISAN
The 2nd ISAN was as successful as the first, although we weren't as good at keeping track fo the numbers. Most of those
who took part the first year participated in the 2nd ISAN as well. The best result is that many of these clubs and individuals
are now doing sidewalk astronomy on a regular basis.

1st ISAN
The 1st International Sidewalk Astronomy Night (ISAN) was a great success. We had over 300 clubs/individuals participating
in over 30 countries! While you were great at taking your scopes out, you weren't so great at sending us the results. We got
lots of emails telling us the crowds were "large" "huge" "really good turn out" etc. that make
it hard for us to know the true number of people who got to look through a telescope that night. The best estimate we have
is over 30,000 people got to observe that night. Congratulations and thanks to all who took part.
