2010 - Busy Year for Amateur Astronomers!WOW! After the craziness of the International Year of Astronomy, you probably thought 2010 was going to be a little boring.
WRONG!!! ISAN is scheduled for March 20 and that's also Sun Earth Day so this year we'll need to make an extra
effort to get out early and do some solar observing. We also have the opposition of Saturn on the 22nd and for those
of you involved in the Saturn Observing Campaign it will be a great opportunity to really collect some nice images. April will be crazy! Global Astronomy Month (GAM), an Astronomers Without Borders event, will be jam packed with lots
of activities. There will really be something for everyone, no matter what your astronomical interest. Several online events,
such as our Living Legends Series will highlight online presentations and conferences wtih John Dobson and Jim Lovell (working
with the Adler Planetarium) and a new version of Around the World in 80 Telescopes will profile observatories globally. Astronomy
Week/Day, International Dark Skies week,Yuri's Night, 20th Anniverseary of Hubble... the list goes on, everyone can get
involved. Check out the GAM website to see how you can join in the excitement.
